The campus has a sad, gloomy & worn down atmosphere. Most of the staff & student both young & old seem to be affected by this because no smiles on anyone faces & everyone seems to drag. The campus needs improving BIG time. A paint job, some tables, a couple of benches & some trees would really make the campus look more welcoming. Not certain who’s responsible for this campus but seriously, do better; a little goes a long way in all aspects.

I called on 8/21 at 3:23 pm I Was trying to ask for basic information In regards to the steps I need to take to receive a Pell grant to attend their school Surprisingly it was information they were unable to give to me Since it was the financial aid department They did say that I should call the other school since the program I was interested in wasn't Available at their campus and I said OK but would you mind answering my question what steps do I need to call the other school and I said OK ma'am I'll take the phone number and she hung On me As I was in the middle of saying that I called right back same woman answered the phone I said ma'am I think You Accidentally me hung up on me and she started laughing hysterically oh yeah I'm sorry about that let me give you that number.. So I called the number I pressed financial aid and guess who answers the phone The same exact woman. Who then tells me that I have to call back tomorrow because it's now 330 and their office is closed How nice of her to not be able to answer simple questions and then run me around so that when I do call back and get her again she'd be able to tell me that their office is closed My dear friend also called and spoke with this same woman today in the morning Again unable to answer any questions she said she emailed him some information In the email she sent the link for the school Attached with an email and a name and number. We have been unable to get in touch with that person. I only want to know do I fill out the pellgrant form on my own or do I do it through them after I register i feel thats a simple ? For the Financial aid Office 2 answer. Apparently the work is too strenuous and our Frustration hilarious It's just so sad to see and you're seeing more of it how people just don't want to perform their job duties They're lazy arrogant expected to get paid for nothing I found the same exact problem at broward college. If you happen to find a paid employee but mostly it's the student services with the students handling everything Who are lazy entitled and arrogant and don't want to do s***. I went to mcfatter tech I went to broward college almost 30 years ago but the process then was extremely simple the people were extremely helpful they were paid employees you went in to the office for your appointment everything was taken care of right then the same person all on that day. You took your entrance test you filled out the forms You applied for financial aid They help to pick out the first classes. It's just so disappointing how much things have changed and people have changed. Basically now people sit there and get paid to say go online and figure it out your d*** self God forbid if you're disabled If you're in your 50s or 60s and you wanna do some re-education. You're basically tossed aside to fend for yourself and if you get it great if you don't oh well for you. This is not what the education process is supposed to be It is not what these people get paid to do In our tax dollars go towards this so-called public education system If this what the office staff is like I'm terrified of what the teachers like. You Don't find this at the expensive universities that only the rich can afford The treatment of the studentsThe quality of the education the staff giving the education huge difference. I wonder why that is

A great school . Studies require time and energy. If you a special person, apply in different program it's not designed for special need like autism, esol students so on . They have separate excellent ESOL program .
Training intense. At the end you will see your times wasn't spend in vain. Everyone has to take teas exam before entrance regardless. You cant get into program without meeting the expectations, retake.

Taking HVAC with Mr. Garcia was the single best thing I did for myself. My opportunities now are endless, I have grown and learned so much in this class that if I had to do it all over again I would happily go another year. If your serious about your career go to the morning classes.
Edit: Currently in my 3rd year still loving it!
You will always be in high demand.

It has been a great experience joining the HVAC program at Sheridan Technical College. In addition to the course syllabus, Mr. Garcia brings a wealth of real world knowledge to the class and his approach to teaching is very engaging. He teaches you how to think, which is critical in being a good mechanic. There is a lot to learn in a short time, but if you apply yourself you will have a great foundation to start a new career. Thank you Sheridan Technical College and Mr. Garcia.
