Doctor Joe Barbosa is a wonderful veterinarian! He cares about his patients and clients. My cat was neutered, vaccinated and microchipped at the Animal Hospital of Hallandale. After the visit we got follow up call from caring staff. At the office visit Dr Barbosa also went over the diet plan and recommended flea and tick prevention and answered all my questions. Thanks to him my kitty is healthy and happy and so am I! I recommend this clinic to all my friends who have cats, dogs, rabbits and birds. Best place with affordable prices!

Im so thankful to have found this vet and his lovely staff. I take my dog and two cats here. They are honest and very gentle. Thank you so much for taking care of us and always trying to schedule us right away. We really appreciate it

Dr. Barbosa is wonderful he performed surgery on my Hunter a few years back. I highly recommend. ♥️ shamelessly have to change my review after so many years nothing to do with Dr. Barbosa and Shannon who I completely adore. Just took my Lucky there today 2/26/24 and got the rude and unpleasant front desk Julia. When asking her question about treatment and prices got yelled at “I am printing your itemized receipt now” no patience, professionalism or respect for clients! Really and you expect me to bring my dog there again? Imagine how dogs are being treated by Julia the Vet assistant? If she is talking to a person like that imagine the animals that cannot defend themselves or talk? Lucky was dropped of because of diarrhea, they only did a fecal test and examined him. Then when I questioned the doctor, he said I gave him a bit of water and then said I will give him a shot and fluids now. 3 pm. ??? Really the dog was dropped off at 8 am, I called around 12 then they called me back 30 min later with the estimate, with a bunch of unnecessary tests, and double the price duagel paste. This is why I loved Dr. Barbosa he never ripped off people and took care of your pet right away. Such a shame! I guess new doctor and new way to treat clients.

These people absolutely milked us. They recommended unnecessary and expensive treatments and surgery that altered my dog. He was put through considerable and an unnecessary amount of pain which could have been avoided simply had his blood work been looked at properly the first time instead of ordering it (and other things)again and again. We left this vet a little shook and unsure what happened was actually the right thing. I can't thank my current vet enough for explaining what really happened and looking after my boy so well in his final days (no he did not make it).
