My family and I had a very comforting and positive experience at the davie location for my father's funeral. Our funeral director Mercedes was so helpful and made the process fast and easy during a very difficult time for our family. The entire staff was very friendly and helped with the entire set up of the ceremony. We couldn't be more grateful for the experience and expertise of everyone there.

I want to thank Mercedes Miranda, the Funeral Director in the Davie location and also Dianne Warren for helping me with my mom's funeral preparation in such short notice.
They made the process stress free. They were compassionate with our needs and wants and I saw everything come together flawlessly and beautifully.
Thank you again ladies for all your support during our most difficult time. Our experience with you was exceptional and I'm so glad I chose Fred Hunter's in Davie.

My family and I had an all around great experience with fred hunters davie location. Our funeral director Mercedes was very attentive and compassionate with very good communication regarding all our options and choices for the ceremony and cremation services. Everything was taken care of promptly and accommodations were given to us without any argument. The viewing ceremony went very smoothly which was all prepped and ready by the faculty and turned out beautiful. Our family couldn't have been more satisfied with this facility and the employees, especially Mercedes and Dianne.

I will not be using Fred Hunter’s in the future. During a time of incredible distress and mourning, they contributed to more frustration and disappointment. On more than one occasion, we had to pester them for things to get done (for example: posting the obituary). Following up regarding important details about cremation/services should be an onus of the funeral home and not the family that’s grieving.
One family member received an email asking if we wanted to know when our loved one would be cremated so we could say a prayer or light a candle. By the time we responded ‘yes,’ it was too late—our loved one had been cremated about an hour after they sent the message. We had already asked other grieving family members, who we then had to tell it was too late. It was incredibly strange to offer this to us on their part. They should have asked us this question when we had come in to make all the arrangements; if that wasn’t possible, that should have given us more time to make that decision - since it involves more than one person; if one hour was the only possibility - they could have stated the time sensitivity, included more than one person in the email (and the main contact), or simply not have offered it. Why only email one family member an hour before the cremation occurs? It felt like an afterthought getting it one hour before.
This is a job that requires timeliness, sensitivity, and extra care — I do not feel like we got that at this Fred Hunter’s. There are other funeral home options, I wish we had gone elsewhere.

I, unfortunately, have had to do this process for a couple of family members now and it is never an easy thing to do. I am from a small town in Kansas originally and when my father passed there were only 2 funeral homes in town. You pretty much knew where you had to go and everyone already knew my father so I didn't have to do much.
Fast forward 10 years and I find out my Brother has passed away in Florida & doesn't have his affairs in order and had created a ton of animosity between his wife and his family. Enter Sergio, how this man was able to navigate the likes of my mother and my brother's wife with such grace and form had me taking notes and paying close attention.
I was afraid that I wouldn't get the kind of care that I got from my hometown funeral home in a place like this and that we would just be another #. Sergio proved that not to be the case 10 times over and in most cases probably did better than the hometown. I will cut it off by simply saying thank you to the Fred Hunter team from me.
But to also leave this from my Mother herself
"There is no better person to assist in your time of sorrow than Sergio. He is patient and kind beyond reasonable expectations. Sergio can read the room and immediately know how to steer the process and personalities. There are no adequate words to express my appreciation."
