Well I should have read the reviews before wasting my time coming to this office. The location was convenient , but the service was not great. Front desk staff more interested in their personal lives. Medical assistant was polite, dermatologist was ready to answer faster than the speed of light. Thankfully I had a say in what I wanted or concerned about. But I expected a little more counseling regarding my concerns. The “complimentary aesthetician” consult miraculously was cancelled. So I arrived early to have to wait about an hour to be seen.
Front desk ensured me that the insurance will cover 100%, after which I received the bill. I do understand, that it depends on the specific case and insurance policies. But why the front desk ensuring that it’s covered 100% when it’s not and/or additional fees might be applied. Why they ensure it’s covered and no bill be taking a place whiting knowing it for sure. Please provide appropriate training to the staff and make sure not to misinform people. Also, I have never received a call and email about the results of my biopsy as I was promised within 2 weeks period. Please if you set expectations or make promises - follow through it!
I think the doctors are pretty good but the front desk lady is so rude. If you want people to come back, have polite management up front. It makes a big difference. Again the doctors are great, but after waiting over an hour to be called in and being treated dismissively and rudely after that, I might as well go somewhere else.
I am still trying to sort out a surprise bill after I called the office and told them I was calling to find out if they accepted my insurance. I checked with the office twice after giving them my current insurance information. I was assured my copayment would only be $10, and nothing else. I checked twice before going in. Months later I am hit with a large bill and the girl that called me to asking me to pay the bill told me it was denied because the doctor doesn’t take my insurance but at the time they acted on the information they received from the insurance. For the second visit I asked again and was told the same thing. My copayment would only be $10. Both bills came months later at the same time. They know how to rack up the bill before surprising you with an invoice that you should never have gotten. They also lie disgustingly when you ask them questions. They didn’t need to call the insurance because the office knows which insurance they take or not but lied to me when I called. This is highway robbery for doctors to get richer robbing from people. Patients are lied to and not given the opportunity to move to a doctor that takes their insurance because they office tells them that they can come in. I specifically asked if they took my insurance and was assured they did. I have called several times since and no one answers and no one returns the call. Terrible customer service. From reading the reviews here I see this is common practice and the patients are made to suffer.
The Doctor is just okay. But the front desk and back office are rude and unprofessional. They will call you with a balance 3 months later, something that should obviously be mentioned during your visit. You will be harassed daily. I was a patient here for 5 years. Never coming back. If you treat your long term patients like that, eventually you will run out of client.
