It pains me to write this, but I leave this as a warning for anyone considering or currently using Arbor. We entrusted them to care for our dog and used their boarding service during recent travels. Sadly, our dog died in their care, and due to their negligence. A couple of weeks prior, we paid hundreds of dollars for them to do testing on our dog who suffered from Cushings disease. Based on these tests, the dosage of his medication was noted as needing to be reduced, but they neglected to inform us of this. When our dog was placed in their care for boarding, they followed the incorrect dosing of his medication (the previously prescribed does which was now too high unbeknownst to us but clear to them). Our dog became anxious in boarding and without advising us, they gave him a dose of anti-anxiety medication which in combination with the medication he was on caused his body to shut down. If they had checked the medication he was on and how it might react with the anti-anxiety medication, this situation would never have happened! They found him essentially brain dead and took him to an emergency vet as their facilities were inadequate to administer care for the situation they created. This ended up costing us over $4,000 and while we were devastated to have to take him off of life support and not be with him when he passed, it was the right thing to do. After admitting to the error, not charging us for the boarding and advising us that they terminated an employee - we were willing to accept that accidents happen and asked them to kindly cover our costs (from the emergency vet) and a reasonable replacement cost of our dog. They chose instead to coldly hand the matter over to their insurance carrier who took 6-months to reject our claim (surprise, an insurer who doesn't want to pay a claim!). We once again asked to handle the matter respectfully and proffesionally as we appreciate that small businesses like this aren't infallible. Our relationship was with them and not their insurer. All we wanted was for them to do the right thing. They told us that they were "going with our insurer". Now our only course of action is to take them to court - wasting more of our time and theirs. Such a dissapointing outcome from a vet that came highly reccomended by a neighbor when we moved to this area. While mistakes happen, the charachter of an organization is defined by how they choose to handle their customers in time of extreme pain and stress - especially when it was caused by their actions.

We had a great experience at Arbor pet Hospital. Our dog was very sick and the doctor was very kind, helpful and through. She gave us all possibilities and referred us to emergency care. She followed up the next day to check in which was appreciated! Would recommend this office. All the staff was very friendly and helpful along the way!

They took great care of my dog! After going to a different vet for years, I was shocked at the results of her dental cleaning and how happy she was afterwards. Everyone who works here is very friendly and genuinely cares about the patients. I highly recommend!

My dog recently was diagnosed with a kidney stone from a different vet. He was prescribed a special diet food for 4 weeks. I ordered a case of food online but wouldn’t be here for 3 days. So I needed some to hold him over. Our primary vet is 30 min away, so I called Arbor asking if they had this food in stock, which they did. Then they told me I can’t buy the food from them without an appt with their vet. Absurd. I spoke to my own vet about this after taking an hour out of my work day to get the food, and they agreed that it was very careless and unprofessional of Arbor to not sell me the food when I had a written prescription. So instead of potentially gaining a customer who just discovered they’re close by…you’ve managed to never get my business. Instead of caring for an animal who NEEDS this specific food… you’ve managed to exclude my dog from the “animals you love so much”. Thanks for nothing Arbor. I hope this review repels the people who want a vet that actually cares about animals. Clearly this place only cares about their paychecks.

I had a very disappointing experience at Arbor Pet Hospital due to their poor customer service. From the moment I walked in, the staff seemed indifferent and unwelcoming. I had to wait an unusually long time just to be acknowledged, even though the lobby wasn’t busy. When I finally got to speak with someone, they were dismissive of my concerns and provided very little helpful information. To make matters worse, there was a lack of clear communication about my pet’s treatment plan and costs, which left me feeling confused and frustrated. I expect a higher level of care and professionalism from a place that claims to prioritize pets and their owners. Sadly, this wasn’t the case here. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone who values attentive and compassionate service for their furry friends.
