I had high expectations for this restaurant and was hoping for an exceptional steak, but I found it to be just average. As someone who seeks out great steaks around the world, this one didn’t meet the mark. For the price, I don't believe it's worth it. The service wasn’t bad, but it didn’t rise to the level of fine dining either.

Beautiful atmosphere and food. We had the special lunch of salmon and I had the tuna which was perfect. Our server Pete was polite and helpful. The chef, Gerry was so friendly and a beautiful spirit. We were happy to fine here and more Happy about the salted butter and crisp bread we had to start! Thank you for the memorable feast

My niece graduated from College two weeks ago and we celebrated at Capital Grille in Ft. Lauderdale. I’ve had the dining experience of CG in Palm Beach Gardens and Miami several times, so not a newcomer.
The food, as always, was on point!! Well seasoned, well grilled to perfection, beautifully plated, and perfect temperature. They did serve the dishes in the manner we’ve come to know for Capital Grille! My compliments to the Chefs and cooks!! They were the best part of this particular restaurant.
On service, woefully poor at this restaurant!! You would think that a party of 10, several visiting from out of town, would receive the best of care. Sadly, we did not. How so?
Guests should not:
1. Have to call their server for additional needs
2. Have to ask another server to have our server come to the table (I believe our server’s name is Felix)—Latin man with a mustache
3. When we arrived and asked for drinks, he responded, “you can look for yourself on the tablet”. I beg your pardon!! What? We re-addressed him and asked for the drinks we were looking for.
4. Our server’s attitude gave us the impression that we were a bother to him. Really? It’s not as if he was busy. Our dining time was 5:30pm and our area was practically empty when we arrived.
Finally fed up with this level of non-service, I asked for the Manager who had frequented our 10 person table early in the dinner. Sadly also, he was of no help. He apologized and said he would take care of it. Never saw him again before we left.
Diners beware…..you WILL receive excellent food. This particular establishment needs some tuning up of some of their staff.
Disappointing dining experience for such an important occasion. I won’t be back!

What great service & attention to detail. The table was very festive with birthday confetti on the table, what a nice touch. We had a round of Aperol Spritzers that were very refreshing. Chef Gregory Thomas recommended the steaks & it did not disappoint. My new york strip was seared perfectly! The birthday boy had the tenderloin, both were tender, juicy & hot all the way through. The meal timing was perfect, desert was delicious. Great birthday dinner. I would do it again. thanks, chef Thomas, we’ll see you in the near future ❤️

Steeped in excellence, Capital Grille is a veritable “Foodie’s” delight… if you’re on a “budget” or aren’t interested (or willing) to pay over $100. per person for dinner, this is probably not the dining experience you’re looking for. That said…
I visited for a business dinner & ordered the filet, it was a superior cut & cooked perfectly! One of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Not to be outdone, the mushrooms held their own with bold, umami flavors. (We’d begun with a cup of “chunky” Lobster Bisque Soup, Caprese, & Beet Salad - the latter - better on the palate than the eyes…). With the meals, added the truffle fries, asparagus and brussels sprouts; magnificent!! F planner had the decadent & luxurious double lobster tails; wowzers!
Ended the meal with the “coconut pie” which is more of a tart, had less filling than anticipated but was delicious nonetheless (the cookie “garnish” was pretty but I would’ve preferred a more traditional approach on this particular dessert). Otherwise, these chefs KNOW what they’re doing & take great pride in their work. 🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻
The server Richard was very attentive & even used a “crumber” tool to clean scattered bread crumbs from the table which is an attention to detail I haven’t experienced in SoFlo in 13 years so well executed! Service was indisputably 5 Star throughout. (And, like this evening, I always appreciate when the Dining Room Manager makes a brief stop by the table to assure everyone is happy.)
I did find the decor somewhat “stodgy” but not pretentious, so “okay.” Our server had me laughing so I’m going with it. (Of course the dining room was pristine.)
Will DEFINITELY return! 🙌 🤩
